Freud's Path
Freud was born Justin Gibran Reia to Dib N. and Flora Reia on September 17, 1973, on Staten Island, New York. Ten days after he was born, the family returned to their home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Freud's father was originally from Syria but was educated in Germany. The US government sponsored his immigration to the US after working a few years for the US military in Germany, and he settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where his sister (Nazera Shaheen) and her family (Fred, Larry, and Linda) lived as well as several people from his home town of Bloudan. So, the family was happy to return to Fort Wayne from New York.
Freud was less than two years old when, due to his father's work, the family relocated to Strongsville just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Many children lived in the neighborhood, and he enjoyed his play time activities and a birthday celebration complete with a magician.
After a short time, due to his father's work, the family relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan, just outside of Ann Arbor. He enjoyed his time at Children's Play School and eventually began attending a public school. Due to some issues, he also attended Rolling Hills Country Day School, a Montessori school. Eventually, when he was put back into public school, he was skipped a year. Freud took his first classes in computers in Ann Arbor, Michigan, when he was about eight years old.
More to come.
